Redistricting of Wake County

Redistricting of Wake County

Redistricting2

Thank you for your support in our fight against redistricting.

Unfortunately, the N.C. Legislature passed the Bill SB-181 and it is now law, even though no one was asking for this redistricting plan.

Our Republican Wake County Commission colleagues drew the districts in 2010 and then ran under them in 2012 and 2014. In addition, 65 out of 100 counties in North Carolina elect their representatives countywide.

At the end of the day, the bill was not about fairness, it was about giving one party an edge in getting their candidates elected.
