The vice chair of the Wake County Board of Commissioners saw a familiar face Sunday when he got off an elevator in Seattle.
Sig Hutchinson, in Seattle as part of a Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce trip, was stunned to see former FBI Director James Comey right in front of him. Then again, the 6-foot-8 Comey is hard to miss.
“I was like a 12-year-old seeing Bono,” Hutchinson said Monday. “I said, ‘Are selfies allowed?’
“He said, ‘Oh, yeah.’ And so I selfied up.”
Comey was in Seattle as part of his promotional tour for “A Higher Loyalty,” a book that traces his career and is critical of President Donald Trump, who fired Comey last year.
